GOKB in a nutshell
GOKB is an open data platform that collaboratively manages metadata for electronic resources, such as e-journals, e-books and databases, in the form of vendor packages or consortial and local collections. This metadata is available to various library systems via a free API. It automates the enrichment, cleansing and quality assurance of data for libraries worldwide.

Manage your e-resources efficiently using FOLIO, Alma and other ERM systems. Use our central knowledge base to ensure consistent metadata.
Consortia such as Jisc, ZBW, the Saxony Consortium and Bibsam manage their packages in the GOKB. Make the most of the opportunity to automatically generate your consortia in the EZB from the GOKB.
SAGE and Preselect.media, among others, use GOKB to provide customers with consistent title lists. Join the ecosystem.

To ensure a bibliographically correct main entry, the title data is checked against the ZDB.
Data validation
Automated checks identify inconsistencies and carry out intelligent conflict analysis.
Quality assurance
Curators can improve the content errors in provider data using guided workflows.
Cooperative approach
Maintaining joint data reduces effort and shortens the time it takes to go from creation to use.
Identity transfer
The various identifiers of electronic media are clearly linked to each other.
Open API
Third-party systems have free access to all metadata without restriction.

A story of success
More than 30 libraries and consortia already use GOKB for their ERM systems. As well as electronic acquisition, it is used in various scenarios: libraries and consortia can manage their EZB title lists directly from GOKB via a community-initiated interface. Over 500 error corrections have been fed back from GOKB to ZDB and EZB, thereby improving data quality across the entire system landscape. GOKB is also well established internationally, with consortia such as Jisc in the United Kingdom and Bibsam in Sweden among its users. Currently, GOKB provides verified, high-quality data to FOLIO, the Alma Community Zone, the EBSCO Link Resolver, and other systems.
